All bottoms are approximately  1\8th" (3mm) thick. 
MDF stands for medium-density fiberboard. MDF is denser than plywood and has no visible knots or wood grains. It's also moisture resistant, but standard MDF isn't waterproof and can be damaged by short-term exposure to water.
